Sound is one of the most potent forms of vibrational medicine—at once ancient and cutting-edge. Rooted in timeless wisdom and now embraced by modern wellness, sound healing bridges the physical and energetic in a way few other modalities can. Using instruments tuned to the body’s natural harmonics, sound baths gently reset the nervous system, offering a deeply immersive and transformational experience. From reducing stress, anxiety, and depression to improving sleep, cognition, and even chronic pain, sound therapy has been shown to slow the heart rate, deepen the breath, and bring the body into a state of true rest. It’s accessible, profound, and deeply moving.
Join us to be infused in healing sounds, scents, and vibration during these Sound Bath meditations with long time musicians and healing therapists Laurelle Rethke and Dr. Tim Klemt.
We’ll begin with gentle humming before immersing you in a transformative sound experience including Gongs, Bowls, Chimes, and Bells–ending with a silent meditation before gentle tones rouse you once more.

Since these are meditative and healing sessions, there will be no entry after 7:15, so please arrive by 7pm. Tea and social time follow the 90 minutes for those who wish to stay to see where the night goes.

About your hosts
Tim is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese medicine and a professional musician. He has played drums and percussion for 40 years and is a student of tabla masters Ustad Reheman Khan and Ustad Kadar Khan. He has performed with Ustad Sultan Khan, Ustad Aashish Khan and Krishna Das, among others. He works and plays out of his healing space Yang Sheng New York in midtown Manhattan. TimKlemt.com
Laurelle is a Crystal, Energy and Sound Healing therapist who teaches and certifies others to do the same. She additionally consults on astrology and spiritual growth, and her book “Connecting with Crystals” is available at retailers everywhere. A musician for most of her life, she studied sound for healing with Fabien Maman, Eileen McCusik and John Beaulieu.
